It's been a whirlwind of activity following our Kelley's Island vacation. It was a wonderful time and I have a few more stories to share. My goal today was to write about my upcoming book that I hope to publish this fall. But other things take precedence. I'll get to that in the next week or so.
Towards the end of the day, I received a text from a high school classmate that one of my childhood friends, Kathy Zupancic Gregory, passed away in her sleep today (this morning). That news stopped me in my tracks. She just turned 60 in February and was having the time of her life with her family and (2) granddaughters! I’m crestfallen right now.
Kathy's passing so suddenly got me thinking once again about how our lives are so precious. I can not get it out of my head: take advantage of opportunities, use the good china, take that trip and Live Each Day to the Fullest when you can! It's the little things in life that add up to the big thing: Life itself!
Two years ago I wrote a #celebratingothers blog post on Kathy to commemorate several classmates from the class of 1980. We had a lovely chat! We follow and wish each other well on social media. Right now I cannot believe she is gone.
If you would like to know more about Kathy, please click on the link that I wrote almost two years ago to the date: http://quiltsfromtheheart.blogspot.com/2020/06/celebratingothers-with-most.html
