Ladder Ladies and Me

Writer: Terri TomoffTerri Tomoff

This past week I was able to help members of the Annapolis Quilt Guild set up a quilt show at the U.S. District Courthouse in Greenbelt, Maryland. I was lucky enough to have two of my quilts selected to be part of the show, along with several SoCo Guild members, too. Close to 60 quilts will be showcased on three floors for the next month or two.

As we learned where the quilts will be placed, I fell in line to help with new friends Ann and Susan. They volunteered to be the ladder ladies; not only climbing to balance both sides of each quilt, but schlep them from wall to wall.

Although my schedule did not permit me to stay the whole day, I'm thankful to meet new to me quilters and see beautiful quilts that will be displayed to the public and all those who work in the courthouse for a good long while.
