Shhh, I'm in love with another man. Though at ten days old today and very sleepy, we are still getting to know each other, and the dance of wake and sleep time is tricky. But we will persevere, the same as his sleepy parents.
We could not be more thrilled to announce the birth of our first grandson, Robert Copenhaver Hudson III—Bodie, to Olivia and Bo, the lucky parents! Bodie was born on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 10:08 p.m. in Richmond, Virginia. The sweet pea weighed 6 lbs, 8.2 ounces, and was 20" long.
Hubby Bill and I met the precious bundle of joy the following day. I know this will all be a blur, but I'm thankful for capturing these first days and moments with an iPhone (same as Bodie's parents) that can accommodate hundreds, if not thousands, of pictures and videos. In 1992, when Olivia was born, we had what seemed like an industrial-strength video camera that was cumbersome and heavy, and we thought it should be with a TV news reporter. The cameras were still all film, so we had to be "judicious" with every shot taken (or almost).
Bill, Ryan, and I (and, of course, his parents and the Hudson family) are over the moon about little Bodie's entrance into the world.
We all are in LOVE with our sweet Bodie - even Disco!
