The Start of the New Month with the Hum of my Sewing Machine, Thwack of my Paddle, and the Screech of my Whistle!

I thought I'd sleep in a little this morning. Nope.

I often share with people when they ask me, “Do you ever sleep?” I playfully respond with “No moss grows under my feet.” I’m one lucky girl that I can say that for now.

One would think I would take the “day off” after a 30-day sprint of arduous blog posts and videos about Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Nope, that is not me. I didn’t schedule today filled with all kinds of goodies on purpose, but it’s developing into a good day with things I like to do: quilting with my bee, a 2-hour session of pickleball, refereeing a high school soccer, and another session of pickleball before I call it quits for the day.

In a few minutes, my car will be packed with my sewing machine and supplies for bee, my soccer suitcase filled with gear that I need later, a lunch, and my pickleball bag filled with my shoes, paddles, and other accouterments I need to play (like clear protective glasses and hair ties).

I would also love to THANK YOU, MY BLOG READERS, for reading, listening or watching the Childhood Cancer Awareness Month live from this location. It warms my heart more than you know. It really takes it out of me a bit when I revisit certain days and times of those crazy years in crisis. Thank goodness I wrote a book about the whole doggone thing so I don't have to harbor all those details in my heart and soul for the rest of my life.

Let's Go...and With Gratitude!

Terri
