It’s a Quilt!
This quilt is called Manufacturing Sunshine. I created it because I needed to feed pretty fabrics into the throat of my machine after my son’s (2) tongue surgeries (Squamous Cell Carcinomas). The pit in my stomach eased a bit as I sewed each stitch into this stunning and colorful quilt.
I then renamed my blog Manufacturing Sunshine because when dark clouds circle above my head, I have to manufacture my own sunshine, no matter what the weather is like outside my door.
And here's the thing: Anyone can manufacture sunshine! It doesn't require a sewing machine, a paintbrush, or a creative bone in your body. It might come from walking, gardening, cooking, reading, volunteering, playing pickleball, helping a neighbor, or simply spending time with people who make you smile.
There is no one-size-fits-all recipe for manufacturing sunshine. What brightens my day may be completely different from what brightens yours.
The trick is discovering what lights you up—and making more room for it in your life.
After all, we can't always control the clouds, but we can certainly find ways to manufacture a little sunshine beneath them. ☀️ That's my motto, and I'm stickin' with it!
