The Bodie-Man!

Last week, our marvelous little grandson, Bodie, 2 1/2, was here in Crofton while his parents were on a business trip. That kid is so doggone cute! We also had Disco, their black lab, who kept everything interesting and fun. Not only do we need to raise the "water level" for Bodie, but also for the dog (she's got reach like something else!).
A bundle of energy, Bodie sleeps through the night but is rarin' to go as soon as he opens his eyes. Breakfast comes quickly after he's dressed, with a bit of potty training, too. Some days, he eats like he's 10. And, he manufactures a lot of sunshine for us and those in his orbit!
He talks nonstop; loud and proud. It's encouraged. He even likes to tell the adults, "Stop talking!"
We sang the ABC song at least 50 times...just saying. Bodie knows his ABCs!
We are, in fact, playground groupies.
Bodie can swing for 45 minutes straight.
We know to bring towels to the playgrounds to wipe off the dew.
We read to him a dozen books daily. We played trains, compliments of a neighbor who donated hers to us. He really loves that compact train set.
We played with any size or shape of ball in his toy box.
We took him to a "pumpkin patch," Home Depot, Wegman's and Lidl grocery stores for mums, and Five Below (he "bought a disco ball). We are now experts in getting a kid in and out of a car seat.
It was a great week! Were we tired afterward? Yep! But it was all worth it to hear this lad squeal with laughter, give us big hugs and kisses I'd like to bottle up, and bring such positive energy to the week.
I love that little Bodie-Man! I can't wait to see him soon!
