A Little Reflection on Life

Yesterday was a good friend’s birthday. I reached out to her early in the morning to celebrate her milestone bday - 65 and Medicare eligible! Later in the morning, I headed to a funeral for another good friend’s husband's celebration of life, with the mass and reception following (he passed away last month).
These two celebrations reminded me how fragile and fleeting life truly is.
How many more birthdays will we have? How many summers do we have left? For me, it’s a wake-up call to write those books swirling around in my mind, call those loved ones, make new friends, travel, and honor the good in our lives.
Time is our biggest asset, and yet it is finite. I'm trying not to "waste" time, but what does that actually mean?
Sew, today (and yesterday) feels like both a celebration and a reminder: life is precious, unpredictable, messy, and unbelievably beautiful all at once. May we use our time wisely—and never miss a chance to manufacture a little sunshine along the way.
It’s the little things…
I've been remiss in posting on my blog, and I miss that. I still write every day, and will get back to this space more often. My next milestone is 1000 posts under the "new" Manufacturing Sunshine blog title, which started a couple of years ago. I have ideas and some already written posts and titles on a 3x5 index card.
It's the little things...and thank you for reading! I appreciate you more than you know!
bSoileille!
