Short Sleeves & Sandals!

Except for one day a couple of weeks ago in Charleston, SC, when I wore short sleeves because it was finally warm enough, I've been repping the wool socks, a turtleneck, a wool sweater, and a fleece jacket since last fall. That is my indoor wardrobe, plus either jeans or leggings - with side pockets. There were also a couple of days in Richmond when it was warm enough to wear springier clothing, but I still wore long sleeves and pants.
Today, in the Mid-Atlantic, it got to 93 degrees, so you can bet your sweet bippy I made sure I wore a shortsleeved top, a skort, and sandals. All. Day. Long. I'm still in it as I type this blog post at 10:22 pm. It feels wonderful not to be in layers. However, we must remember that April is a funky month. 93 degrees one day, and 40 the next. I'll keep my winter clothes handy to change quickly as the temperatures dip and spike either way.
I will add, though, that tweener weather is kind of a difficult time period. Traveling in it is even more daunting, especially when it comes to what to pack when there are large swings, like 30 or more degrees, between a couple of days. Layering is best, I guess.
Summer truly is right around the corner...or at least it’s peeking in, waving, and then running back out the door just to keep us on our toes - in either sandals or boots. Either way, I’ll be ready—my favorite pair of everyday sandals by the door, and a sweater or my jean jacket not too far behind!
bSoleille!
