I think we all know dogs are a large part of the family, and show kindness in their own way. When in tune with our pups, they know we know them on a friendly basis each day. Hey, they didn't get the moniker "man's best friend" for nothing. Nope, they've earned it over the last 10,000 years.
Grand dog Disco is very kind to everyone she meets, dogs and people. I'd like to say she's a card carrying extrovert and loves life! It oozes out of every pore of her body.
Today I was touched by my friend and bee-mate, Debbi Carter's pup, Ruger. He's been not feeling well lately, but happy and quite spry during our quilting bee. After ironing fabric for a few hours, I sat down on a rocking chair for a bit. In a flash, and unexpected, Ruger was in my lap in a second, staring up at me with his sweet brown eyes "asking" ever so kindly to be petted. Of course, I happily obliged.
Yep, dogs offer their people the best possible kindnesses on a regular basis. They never complain either.
I miss our dogs, yet thrilled when I see others' dogs, and sweetheart Disco.
