Cheers to all the strong women in my life who hail from around the world! Women from all walks of life inspire and amaze me with their stories, families, careers, passions, and talents! I would not be where I am today without the incredible women who lit and paved the way, including my mom (now deceased) and my two younger sisters. We learned the value of education with some following, then decided to create our paths in our lives.
When I had my daughter, Olivia, almost 30 years ago, it was my turn to light and pave the way for her. My wish was for her to stand on my shoulders as I stood on the shoulders of my mom, who was a part of the greatest generation. Let the path move all women forward and up in the years ahead. The possibilities are endless!
Yes, I believe there is a responsibility to forge ahead in all our endeavors because the younger folks are watching us navigate it all. Some things are not always easy, but, thankfully, most of us have choices in how we do things.
My word for 2022 is "Celebration!" Today is the perfect day to celebrate all the fantastic achievements of the women we know, and perhaps don't know, in our lives. I'm sure most, if not all, are making a difference each and every day.
