Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to all who participated in the 2025 Holiday Wishes Christmas Quilt! A BIG shout of Congratulations to Mary Jean McCarthy for winning this special quilt for her and her family!
Here are the facts:
We had 631 names (chances) on the Wheel of Names - Wooohooo!
We collectively raised $2200, with Bill and me matching the first $500 - YAY!!!
We will donate the money to these organizations:
Just Tryan It, which provides financial assistance to families with a child in cancer treatment to reduce financial stress and help get them through the cancer journey.
LifebridgeHealth - Dr. Aziza Shad's Family Emergency Fund
Cards2Warriors bridges the isolation gap by sending cards of support and encouragement to individuals battling long-term illnesses and rare diseases. (If you remember the Post Card Project we did in 2004, this foundation is doing the same type of thing with many facing challenging medical battles.)
My heart is overflowing tonight. Each year, you remind me/us that generosity is alive and well, and that together we can shine a little light into the lives of families who truly need it. As I wrap up this year’s raffle tonight, I’m struck again by how blessed we are to be surrounded by such caring, big-hearted folks from around the country!
Whether you bought one chance or ten or more, shared the link, or cheered us on from the sidelines, please know this: you made a real difference. You’ve shown up for families who are walking some very hard roads, just as so many once showed up for ours. Your kindness is a powerful reminder that no one fights alone, especially during the holidays.
From our little corner of the world here in Crofton, Maryland, where my sewing machines are taking a much-needed break, we are Manufacturing Sunshine by one stitch, one chance, and one act of hope at a time.
Please remember this: hope is an endless well that never runs dry.
With love and gratitude,
Terri
