Here's wishing all my blog readers and Happy Holiday Weekend- especially if celebrating Easter. Passover, in a lot of years, coincides with the most famous holiday of Easter, but not this year. It will begin sundown April 22.
Luckily, even with some dicey weather, the spring flowers are proliferating (same as the weeds as I see them once I walk out my front door).
We all know that the Cherry Blossoms 🌸 in Washington DC around the Tidal Basin are spectacular. People come from around the world to enjoy the fragile pink petals hanging this way and that to throngs of admirers. For many years we ran in the Cherry Blossom 10 miler that thrilled the masses - especially as we turned a corner to inhale the fragrance and view the overarching canopies of blossoms.
In Crofton, Maryland, the Crofton Parkway is not as amazing as the DC Tidal Basin, but pretty cool all itself with the blossoms ringing around almost (3) miles. At it's peak in the last couple of days, I snapped this video:
