I know now why writers and artists of every genre have found this area of the world so irresistible. For painters, it's the light. For hungry tourists it's the food, which is classified as art, and for the writers, inspiration abounds in every nook and cranny.

It's the small hamlets and villages, the abundant vineyards and the way the people and culture of this area accepts everyone to smell, taste, hear, feel and absorb what the Earth provides us.

No one can believe the work week went by in a flash. I'm thankful we still have some writing time and a couple of excursions before this dream ends.

But until then, Viva La France!
