Aegina, Greece 🇬🇷 Adventures Ahead!

Although the island of Aegina is only 17 nautical miles south of Athens (Piraeus’s Harbor), we took the slower ferry (though from the looks of it, seemed like a ship) to Aegina Town which took roughly 90 minutes.
Upon arrival, the sky was clear blue skies, the temperature around 74 degrees F, and the sun shining on all surfaces. It’s a quieter island than, say, Santorini or Mykonos, because it doesn’t give itself away at a first glance. Nope, it’s a place to saver, slow down, and discover its hidden secrets each day. My friend, Kris, has been coming to this charming island for half a decade. She is the consummate hostess, too.
Today we took a bus that went about half the island then looped into town. We browsed for a bit and had a fish lunch. We both love fish and we had an outstanding repast on this gorgeous day. Since it was so nice out, I walked the few miles back to the house without incident (the roads have skinny lanes with really no berms). I loved walking past all the different homes, some at sea level, and many more up the mountains. What a view those people have to the sea!
I’m delighted to be here!
