When I’m 64 (Today!)

Today is the iconic age of turning 64 for me. The Beatles even wrote a song about it (first two stanzas):
When I get older, losing my hair
Many years from now,
Will you still be sending me a valentine,
birthday greetings, bottle of wine?
If I’d been out till quarter to three,
Would you lock the door?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I’m sixty four?
I hope a few people still need me, and will feed me (buy groceries at least!).
Celebrating can last all week for some, if not the month, but today it was a lot of things I love to do in celebration:
Pickleball from 8-10 am with a group of great ladies
F.A.T (fabric acquisition trip to two local quilt shops with my bee )
Opening a surprise box of beautiful flowers and a pretty vase from The Best Daughter and family.
Lunch with my bee at our favorite restaurant in Annapolis, Maryland, Evelyn’s
Quilting in the afternoon (sewed on a binding of a Tshirt quilt)
Fielding Telephone calls from my peeps (so thankful to catch up!)
Dinner at home with my guys (thanks to Ryan for making soup and his mouth watering macaroni and cheese)
And lastly, going to my quilt guild meeting.
I’d say my 64th Birthday was a magnificent magical day! Cheers to starting my 65th lap around the sun ☀️. Plus, I’m grateful to reach this time in my life, my unbelievable experiences, travel, and the people in my life who make me a better person every single day ♥️.
bSoleille!
