Two #CelebratingOthers Stories Coming Soon!

Updated: Apr 11, 2022

I figured that if I announced what I said in the heading, it would come to fruition soon. I thought I would have at least one to share in January, and of course, that did not happen.

I'm thrilled, though, that I was able to get in the interviews in late January and early February. The discussions are from two incredible women I met in the Writing in Community in June of 2020; one lives on the West Coast (Oregon), and the other lives on the very East Coast (Maine).

I cannot wait for you to meet them!

When I reflect on the last couple of years: the heartbreak, the questions, the isolation, the unknowns, it is all very daunting. But as the previous two+ years unfolded, there was still a lot of joy. Goodness & kindness were sprinkled all over the world. People still had babies, and people still got married. Perhaps most of these life events were met with smaller crowds, but it did not derail the joy and happiness I hope followed. I was adamant about tuning in to that goodness as much as possible.

Let me leave you with this today from American biochemistry professor and science fiction author Issac Asimov on the unnoticed good in the world:

"It is important to remember that the viciousness and wrong of life stick out very plainly but that even at the worst times, there is a great deal of goodness, kindness, and day-to-day decency that goes unnoticed and makes no headlines."

I may not make headlines, but I will Manufacture Sunshine with Amazing people in this world by celebrating them through this blog! I wanted to find a photo of thousands of people. The best I could come up with is the photo below shows thousands of people in the Emirates Stadium in London, England. My family and I were there in January of 2019 and attended two English Premier League Games (EPL).

Thank you for reading!

P.S. Since I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, and the Browns are not in the Super Bowl, I am pulling for the underdog, The Cincinnati Bengals, in Super Bowl LVI (56)! Go Bengals!!

bSoleille!
