Travel Checklist

Traveling light is definitely a skill. Depending on where we are traveling in the world, if something was not packed, there is a good chance it can be purchased at our final destination. Say, though, you are all cozied up in Botswana’s Chobe National Park with tons of elephants, giraffes, leopards, and many other fine animals, and run out of toothpaste, well, you have to make do without it for a small time being. I never ran out of toothpaste, but I can state with experience that the very small tubes given out at the dentist’s office last exactly 14 days with a pea-sized amount and brushing twice a day.

Right now, while in the midst of packing for an upcoming three-week trip, I’m struggling with outerwear and long-sleeved clothing. I’m going to France. The weather should be lovely. Or, I’m wishing it will be lovely. However, I want to pack smart and cover all bases, warm, cold, rainy, etc. I could buy something if needed and didn’t pack. Do I want to, though? Perhaps a sweater could be purchased, since I love them so much and WILL wear it once home. I’ve bought at least four sweaters from France and Italy on previous trips, and I wear them regularly.

Lastly, shoes/boots are my biggest nemesis. I LOVE them. I can’t pack all I would like to take with me in the shoe department. However, I already decided I won’t need boots for this trip, so phew on this one. Anything black has to be my go-to. Who really looks at our feet? I’m hoping that it will be mostly sandal weather; I can pack a few of them since they are easy and take up a fraction of valuable real estate in a small suitcase.

Here is a Travel Checklist (used to be in the back of my daily calendar I buy every year, and for some reason, it is no longer there) I use for every “big” trip:

If you have travel plans this spring/summer, YAY!!! May you have a safe journey there and back. You can download or copy this list if you'd like. I make several copies at once and use one for each trip (I take notes and add/subtract things on my sheets).

Go go go!

I was searching “download reels instagram” on Google yesterday because I needed a simple way to save a few Reels offline. Tried a couple of websites and one browser-based tool worked fine without installing any app.
