A Day at the Beach!

We are lucky to live in the part of the country (USA) where there are interesting sites within a two hour drive of where we live, including the beaches of Delaware and Maryland.
The sun was up and brilliant at 6:30 am, with the temperature just right for a beach day. We couldn’t believe our luck since going to the beach on this day was on the calendar for a few months now.
It’s our yearly tradition of a one-day trip at the end of July to celebrate our son’s birthday (it’s in August, though we will be away then).
We go for the Putt-Putt, or, as some say, Miniature Golf.
Our favorite courses are in Ocean City, Maryland (OCMD). We got there bright and early (at opening) to do the two 18-hole courses, twice. It was a fierce battle to the bitter end between hubby Bill and son Ryan on the lowest of scores we could muster, and, Bill winning a free game on the 19th hole!
We stay for our favorite lunch spot - a deli called Arenas in Rehoboth, DE, directly North of OCMD.
We play on the boardwalk - Skeeball being a favorite game - plus people watch. It’s the best!
While my guys enjoyed the boardwalk, I snuck down to the serene ocean (the photos below with the ocean were taken within seconds of each other - but those clouds!!!), with small waves, steps away from the noisy carnival atmosphere, to put my feet in the Atlantic.
The surface temperature was warm. I wanted to go a bit further, but I was holding my sandals and had my phone in my pocket and didn’t want to get the phone wet. I frolicked a bit, then headed back to the boardwalk.
There is no mistaking the ocean breezes, the salty and sandy feet, and zen that encompasses my soul while looking out to the vast body of water before me, even for a few quiet moments.
Yep, a Day at the Beach is the highlight of the summer!
bSoleille!

1. I found this guide at exactly the right time. I had tried several Pinterest download tools before, but most of them either didn't work or were filled with unnecessary ads. This pin downloader was straightforward, fast, and easy to use. Your explanation made the whole process simple, even for someone using it for the first time. Thanks for putting together such a helpful resource.
