Three and a Half Decades in the Books!

Updated: Jun 15, 2022

Milestones are my favorites! Today, June 13th, is no different with celebrating 35 years of marriage with hubby Bill. Back in 1987, I could barely think through the wedding day with all the hoopla and the upcoming honeymoon leaving the next day, I certainly never looked down the road to see what 35 years married could look like then. Did anybody?

The lyrics of the Alan Jackson's song "Livin on Love" come to mind today - especially these two stanzas:

Two young people without a thing

Say some vows and spread their wings

And settle down with just what they need

Livin' on love

It sounds simple, that's what you're thinkin'

But love can walk through fire without blinkin'

It doesn't take much when you get enough

Livin' on love

We have walked through fire together, but all those fires, bumps, and bruises of life have made us stronger together. With that, our love has deepened like a polished coin. We are blessed and thankful!

I am one lucky gal to be married to my soul mate for over three decades. Cheers to another run around the sun together holding hands and creating memories with each other, our family, and friends!

Bill, I love you to the moon and back 35 times! Photos below from the last couple of years. The one with the yellow background is from today - lunch at our favorite local restaurant - Mi Casita's.

P.S. Oh, it's gifts of either coral or jade for celebrating 35 years of marriage. However, it's in the 35 years of marriage that a new Hot Water Heater/Tank will do just fine as our present to each other.

bSoleille!
