Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the USA, if not the world.
I love to play this game. It has intrigue, skill, is fast-paced, and has a whole bunch of geometry. So, when my Pickleball club was having another 3v3 women’s “tournament,” I gathered my paddle princesses, Deb and Beth, and we went into this tourney as The Spice Girls (Beth's last name is Spicer- hence, the name used for our team).
We had a blast! It was all very competitive, and my partners were awesome with each stroke of the pickleball!
We won GOLD in our bracket!
But the best part wasn't the "medal." It was spent laughing, cheering each other on, and sharing the court with so many wonderful women who simply love the game (Thanks, Coach Jordan, and a shout-out to Debby Skipp- tournament director). To top it all off, every player—whether they finished with gold, silver, bronze, or somewhere in between—went home with chocolate - not medals (everyone got chocolate - so sweet, right?). Now that's my kind of tournament!
Here's to great partners, good sportsmanship, a little healthy competition, and sweet endings...both on and off the court. 🏓🥇🍫
Apparently, the Spice Girls pictured below still have a few hits left in them! 🤣
