Summer 2025 is HERE!

Those who live in the Northern Hemisphere are, perhaps, jumping into summer like me! I worked all day inside on a quilting project. Maybe that wasn't a bad decision, as the temperatures climbed to over 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Watching the birds flit around the house when I looked up from my cutting mat or sewing machine, I was just hoping I could make it to the pool at some point.

By 7:30 p.m., I had called it quits after a long day and the first day of my favorite season. I couldn't get dressed in my bathing suit fast enough to get to the pool and jump into summer with a big splash at my local pool at the Crofton Swim and Tennis Club in Crofton, Maryland.

Son Ryan beat me to the pool to cool off, but we spent a few minutes together on the lounge chairs, taking in the sunset on the longest day. Yippeee! Next up - lap swimming!
