My calendar says March 20th is the Spring Equinox, though given the temperatures lately, perhaps it jumpstarted like a 100-meter sprinter who wanted to race down the track. I am thankful and thrilled with the light outside my windows for close to, or over, 12 hours! Oh, how I missed that daylight that went on for hours, and now it's back in full glory.
To celebrate the light, those spring flowers are in full bloom and bring much-needed happiness to the Northern Hemisphere. Gone will be the stark leafless trees and flowerbeds with no flowers. As they say, "Everything is coming up roses."
I couldn't help but take a few colorful photos of what is blooming (slices of Spring...) and creating some sunshine and happiness — with Summer around the corner!
