You know the saying, "you don't know what you don't know?" Last year when I launched my first book, "The Focused Fight," I was coached that a website with my name would be a good idea for the future. I agreed! A writing friend recommended someone she knew who designed websites, and in short order, the web designer and I were off in collaboration making a genuine website. It was a great start for me. I am thankful for my designer's expertise and patience!
As the year unfolded, I learned about more things that could be added to my website that I had difficulty in adding myself, i.e., several podcasts and even a simple photo. Other things came up too, and I was hesitating on trying to figure out how to add or subtract items from the site.
In comes "The Best Daughter" who knew I needed help. Her Beau Bo offered his help that I gladly accepted. I knew some of my pages on the old website had to be redone. Thankfully, Bo has worked very hard in the last couple of weeks tweaking and tailoring a whole new look. I am thrilled with the results. It will be a work in progress that Bo has painstakingly helped me learn how to manage my own site. Yes, there are good folks who manage websites on a monthly basis, but I am not that large of an entity to justify the costs.
Even more, Bo was instrumental in helping me "be in the know" when managing and updating my website as needed, perhaps like everything else in life.
My goal is to be back to regular blogging. I missed in the last couple of weeks, but too many things were being worked on and transferred and I didn't want to stop the process until it was safe to blog and publish in my new space.
