Fall has really arrived in the Mid-Atlantic, with temperatures dipping below 50 degrees F this morning. Who doesn't like to curl up under the quilts and down comforters with a good book? We can now!

Seth Godin’s current list of book recommendations includes 491 books across many genres of delightful, insightful reading. James Hunt curates and maintains the list, and it includes Marketing, Grit, Classics, Business/Leadership, Autobiographies/Biographies, and more.

It took me at least 30 minutes to cursor through all these wonderful books, many I have read, and more that I want to read. I even know a few authors listed!

I’d say the list is very different from the NYT bestsellers, which have quite a few fiction books. Oh, Seth list does have some fiction books, mostly classics that many of us have probably already read, but it is the nonfiction genre that stands out most. Although I love me a good, let me rephrase that, great fictional novel, I tend to read mostly nonfiction.

My nightstand has several of the books on the list, and I just made a note to pull two of them out to start reading today. It’s about time I dug into a good book or two again.

How about you? What’s on your list for this fall to read a good book?

Just in case you are wondering what books I'm about to crack open, along with the "giving season" right around the corner, I am choosing two books with the same title: The Gift by Lewis Hyde and The Gift by Marcel Mauss.

Here are the covers:
