Day 6 of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, 2025

There is a lot of repurposing going on in various forms of writing, including videos, books, magazine articles, and the entire spectrum of content. So, while I am enjoying my time in Richmond this weekend, I decided to try out the idea of a repurposed post. I am including the post I wrote on this date last year, 2024. It's a good one:

One more thing: I'm amazed that I recorded my book, The Focused Fight: A Childhood Cancer Journey: From Mayhem to Miracles, last July and August. I'm not sure if anyone has listened to it, but it's available. Additionally, the link above is for the paperback, but the other formats are also available as stated above, including the book read by an AI Bot. This is the first time I've mentioned this format in my blog. It's been out for several months, but I hear that people mostly like to listen to the author.

Day 6 of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month 2024

Today's audio/podcast is tricky since I mis-scheduled Chapter 5, Christmas Miracles 1996, last week. The original episode was full of bloopers (I am still embarrassed about the snafu—yet all of it was part of that huge learning curve!), and today, I am praying for a miracle that the new and improved episode will slip into the same slot. It is all in the RSS feed, along with their supposed updates. We shall see.

When I read, reread, and then recorded this chapter, I couldn't believe how those feelings I had at that time came rushing in like a winter storm. I can still see the box being delivered by UPS. I can still hear Olivia and Ryan's screams as they unwrapped their presents on Christmas Eve 1996.

Our minds are sponges, yet memories (and miracles) hold precious places in our brains. I sure hope it continues for many years to come!
