Day 30 of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month - Closing Sentiments w/Bill Tomoff!

It’s been a month of crafting stories and posts to share during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. I poured my heart and soul into every one. Some were long. Some were short. Some came easily, while others took hours and plenty of tears to write.
The post I wrote about my dear friend and Art Therapist, Tracy Councill (Day 18), took me five hours. There were tears and deep thoughts about her life and the thousands of children and families she touched through art—helping chase away the cancer blues, if only for a little while.
And now, somehow, we’ve arrived at Day 30. Alleluiah!
Today, I’ve decided to pass the torch to my partner through all of the madness and miracles our family endured for far too many years: my husband, Bill.
Bill carried the same dread and angst in the pit of his stomach that I did, but his days often looked very different from mine. While I was frequently at the hospital or clinic with Ryan, Bill had to keep the rest of our world moving. He worked a stressful job in accounting, kept the paychecks coming and the health insurance flowing, helped care for Olivia, made countless trips to the hospital, and somehow carried his own fears while helping me carry mine. Hey, that is saying something!
Childhood cancer happened to all of us. It does for almost all families, not just ours.
I’ve shared plenty of my words and more this month. So, on this final day of CCAM, I think it’s fitting that you hear from the other half of this parenting team.
I’m passing the torch to Bill. I couldn't be more thrilled to do so.
He has gone gold all month, too. 🎗💛🎗
THANK YOU FOR READING/LISTENING/CELEBRATING with me this month here on this blog! I appreciate it more than you know.
