Day 26 of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Well, well, well. Our 11 years of LIVING STRONG came to a screeching halt in the spring of 2016 when a "canker sore" in Ryan's mouth was cancer on the tongue (squamous cell carcinoma). It took mili-seconds for Mama Bear to swing into action once again, though this time with an adult. The adult cancer world is quite different from the Childhood Cancer world, but due to Ryan's extensive cancer resumé, he got the care he needed in record timing.

NOTE: There are (2) Episodes (Pink Links) listed in this blog. Ch. 31 is after the photos for Ch. 30.

Ch. 30—Cancer Rears Its Ugly Head, Again and Again, may make you wonder how this kid (young adult) survived all the surgeries and recoveries to restored health. For me, after reviewing and editing the audio, I've got to let go of the "small stuff" in life. Sometimes, as I listen to the story, I don't think it's me reading the story; it must be someone else! It is really uncanny.

Photos below encompass both surgeries - May and December 2016. That's Dr. Ord and a resident, plus the roof and sky for one second of that long day.

Chapter 31—What a Ride, Huh? This three-minute episode connects the mayhem and miracles surrounding Ryan's five diagnoses.

Thank you for reading...and listening!
