Day 25 of CCAM - Be Yourself; A Poem from The Inner Cure!
Reading The Inner Cure by Sheila and Tom Baker made a huge impact on me (and it still does). However, the thoughts, prayers, and poems in their little book can be for just about anyone going through a hard time, not just kids.
Today, I thought I’d share another thought from their book during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Be Yourself
Wake up today and be yourself,
No matter where you go,
For people always try to tell you what,
Your goals and life should sow.
They tell you what to look llike, and what to do today,
They tell you how to act, and waht to wear and say.
They tell you what path to take,
And you should be like me.
But only you can be yourself,
Because you are God’s specialty.
Wake up today and be yourself,
No matter where you go.
That’s it! I don’t know about you, but this particular poem can apply to any age and to what we are going through.
Yep, Be Yourself!
