Day 16 of CCAM: Relentless 🎗💛

Over the past five years in September, and sixteen days into this one, I’ve posted something every day for Childhood Cancer Awareness 2026.
Maybe that feels relentless. It’s supposed to.
Because childhood cancer is relentless. The protocols are long and arduous, and there may be other kids in the picture to take care of, too; AKA other children/siblings.
When a child is in treatment, cancer doesn’t take a day off. There are no weekends away from the worry. No vacation from blood counts, medications, appointments, side effects, scans, hospital stays, and wondering what tomorrow might bring. With all that on board, it’s hard to think of anything else. (Queue the cards and cookies about this time).
My daily posts are certainly no comparison to what a child or family endures. But for these 30 days, I can be relentless about one thing:
Awareness.
Tomorrow, I’ll be back again. And the next day. And the day after that. I hope you will follow along.
For families facing childhood cancer, neither the good fight nor the need for better treatments, more research, and more support ends when September does. That’s the bugger of it all.
But for today, Day 16, I’m still Going Gold. And still relentless. 🎗💛🎗
