Day 10 of CCAM - Going Gold: Miles Away, but Right Beside Us with sister Kimberly Kocan

Driving to Ohio yesterday was somewhat uneventful when it came to driving the same car as I had a month ago. Thankfully, my car drove as usual (I had car trouble last month on another trip to Ohio), but on the PA Turnpike, traffic for miles had to come to a screeching halt due to an accident headed Eastbound. The finish line kept moving…but arrived safely…the ultimate goal!

Before heading out to pure Michigan for a BGGGW (Bowling Green Girls Gone Wild) long weekend get-together, while still at my sister’s house, Kimberly and I did a video quick video with a good intention for this special month.

I prompted Kimberly with: “Even when you live miles away, how can you help a family facing Childhood Cancer.”

The 2 minute video below reveals some of those ways! Thank you, Kimberly and your family!

My family and I are grateful that family and friends were at the ready to help us when we needed it most in those early years of Ryan’s diagnosis. Being thought of was a blessing for all those lonely days spent in the hospital.

Kimberly eloquently articulates what anyone could do to help loved ones in the battle that live far away.

Please enjoy our morning conversation:

Going Gold!
