A Baby Bernina is in the House!

A baby Bernina was added to my fleet of sewing machines today! I am over the moon with my new-to-me domestic little gem. It’s a 3/4 machine (think a 3/4 violin compared to full size) manufactured in Switzerland in about 1980 (these machines were made from 1979-1983. This little mechanical babe sews only a few easy stitches to motor through small projects, and as you can see from the photo, it is in pristine condition (a selling point for me).

My little girl (not named yet) will be especially easy to travel to sewing bees or quilt retreats when I do not need to use or bring a heavy-duty machine.

Soon, I’ll have the chance to check it all out. I can’t wait! I'll report back when I take her for a test drive.

bSoleille!
