Rehoboth Beach Day!

There is something special about sunshine and the sea. My guys and I took advantage of a stellar day and scooted over to the ocean for the day. It’s son Ryan’s BIG Birthday Month celebration - he turns 30 on 8/16! It’s a big deal for everyone to celebrate a milestone birthday, but maybe a tad more special for a 5X cancer survivor and thriver!!

Our day trip in August has been a tradition over the past several years, and today was just as magical as the rest.

We start off our beach day playing miniature golf . And let me say, we take no prisoners. We compete like being in the Paris Olympics. We ended up competing in (3) games of (18) holes, both on indoor and outdoor courses. One of the three games ended in a three way tie with 39s all around. Since the course was light with not many players, we did a two hole play off. Channeling Katie Ledecky and Simone Biles with ice in their veins for each competition they enter, I aced the first playoff hole.

My guys couldn’t respond with an ace so yours truly one this round! Woohooo!!

Lunch, ice cream for dessert, Thrasher’s Fries, light shopping on the boardwalk, and skeeball rounded out most of the day. A quick splash (up to my knees) after skeeball in the ocean felt good too. Water temp at the lifeguard chair said 70 degrees.

On a hot day, a trip to the beach is a great way to start another summer month! I’m rolling with it like the waves crashing the beach filling my heart with joy 🤩.
