Perdika, Greece: Sunshine ☀️ & Octopus 🐙

The island of Aegina finally got a reprieve from torrential rains and wind. The sun broke out mid morning, so Kris and I took advantage to explore a little fishing village called Perdika. It’s about a 10 minute bus ride away from Marathonas with a few little cafes and restaurants in one row along the coast. There is also one Greek church (which was open to take a look around) in Perdika.
It was easy to walk around the little village that ended us back to restaurant row where we planned to have lunch before the bus would return to take us back to Marathonas (we had about 2.5 hours to experience the area).
Lunches and dinners are leisurely affairs here in Greece. No one rushes the diners, ever. Diners are in charge! Ha!
My travel mate, Kris, has slowly introduced me to the world of Greek cuisine this past week. I can confirm it is definitely delicious! Two new dishes I’ve never had before until today included moussaka and… octopus! I loved them both.
I’m thinking I’ll try more Greek dishes I’ve never ate before in the next week. I’m calling it good food adventures.
