My writing friend, Diane Osgood, is at it again with your Shopping Superpower, this time with Valentine's Day right around the corner. The guide is in PDF format and can be opened with no problem by just clicking this link - Love In Action. Note: While writing this blog and adding the link, I tested it to ensure it goes directly to the guide, and it does!
One key takeaway from the guide I like to follow is to shop locally. I'm a solopreneur myself in T-Shirt quilts/Memory Quilts, and I certainly appreciate my local customers (though I do get out-of-state projects, too). Diane does a great job breaking down her ideas and offering practical advice on how to ask shopkeepers, florists, and other local establishments about their wares. Her suggestion to take your own vase to a local florist is outstanding! Why not take your own pretty vase and have them fill it up with beautiful flowers?
February 14 is eight days away (counting today). If nothing else tickles your fancy in "buying" something, frankly, nothing beats a handwritten note or card to your loved one(s). Even if you write a note on graph paper, a yellow legal pad, or a pretty card already in your stationery stash, it just may be the perfect gift! And...I bet you will Manufacture Sunshine for your loved one, too.
