Last Night in Poggibonsi

A slower day was just what we needed to end our stay in this gem of a hill town, Poggibonsi. Yesterday, we explored more of it, but today went back to San Gimignano, another compact walled city and very manageable to explore once again. Hubby Bill didn’t go the first time we went, but enjoyed it today. Skinny streets, cute shops, and the smaller piazza squares were great for adventure.

Italy does have it when it comes to delicious food! The place we lunched today with friends Jodie and Scot was outstanding. Most portions are just right for consumption without feeling that you need to be rolled out because you’ve eaten too much. I found that in most every restaurant in Florence, Rome, Siena, Poggibonsi and San Gimignano.

Today was also our first windy day, though brilliant sunshine ruled the day. Like France, Italy has that certain light that artists have been coming to this area to hone their craft for centuries. Photos look great, too.

After 13 strong in our Villa for most of two weeks, we are down to five of us.

It’s been a great trip indeed! And we have one more day and night in Florence!

Ciao!

Terri
