Thirty one years ago today I gave birth to the most remarkable and resilient baby, Ryan Nolan Tomoff. Through his growing up years, many in the battle to fight his leukemia and fight for his life for too long, he has proven his strength and unwavering determination over and over again. He’s taught me, and many others, to live life fully and not take ourselves too seriously. I’m thankful he sets that example in every aspect of his life.
Birthdays are big for celebrating for a lot of people, especially kids! But there is nothing like cancer survivors to celebrate their birthdays each year. Big or small affairs, there is that quiet steadfast belief that life is good every single day, sweeter as the years add up to follow their dreams and aspirations.
I’m proud of Ryan and the man he has become in his 31 years.
Cheers to you, Ryan, and enjoy your 32nd lap around the sun. I love you to the sun and moon..and back!
We celebrated in style with our immediate family, a brownie cake, a session (court rental) of pickleball and Chinese food for dinner. Oh, and we played Ryan’s favorite game, Ticket to Ride.
It was a great fun day to celebrate Ryan! 🎂☀️♥️
bSoleille!
