Travel is to see exciting things, like the Mona Lisa, but it is ultimately the exploration of the self.
As the English writer G.K. Chesterton once declared: “The whole object of travel is not to set foot on foreign land; it is, at last, to set foot on one’s own country as a foreign land.”
There is a full urgent weight of the world that is real. Travel anywhere, and you can see, feel, and become one with it by immersing in the culture and overall awe that can be noticed with adventure around every corner.
By the time my wonderful blog post readers read this, we should be ensconced in London, England (maybe sleeping). We've got a whirlwind trip that I hope to highlight here in this space, all provided we have strong WIFI and other accouterments to enhance the use of my computer, and if not that, my phone.
We shall see. We are packed (that was something with only a small carry-on and a backpack for each of us) and up for our adventures, starting in London at an EPL (English Premier Game - Tottenham Spurs vs. Bournemouth on Saturday!
