It is funny how, over the years, it works out that I work in themes when creating T-shirt quilts. Earlier this year, I worked on several memory quilts of people who had passed on. In the last couple of months, I have been working on three US Military/DOD (Department of Defense) type quilts that have taken me all over the world in T-shirts from many US Embassies and other US installations around the globe. It is exciting as I work on each "puzzle," as almost all my work is custom and detailed for each quilt.
When my client picked up his quilt this weekend, he loved it! He had over 25 US Embassy polos with insignia that I cut out and arranged below his favorites or most memorable shirts. I loved how it turned out, too. The quilt, as shown in the photos below, will be a present to a dear family member. I am thrilled to be a part of a legacy quilt for his loved ones.
